Anglers can anticipate very good bass fishing at Lackawanna State Park this coming season. Our electrofishing sample on the night of May 20, 2002, found a dense population with a number of larger fish present. In spite of the cold, high, and muddy water, our total largemouth bass catch rate was 122 fish/hour. 31% of the bass exceeded 12 inches and 9% exceeded the legal limit of 15 inches.
